PSORIASIS IS AN IMMUNO-MEDIATED DISEASE THAT PRESENTS SYMPTOMS ON THE SKIN AND SOMETIMES IN THE JOINTS.
Psoriasis affects 2% to 3% of the population of Ukraine.
Treatment of psoriasis in modern medicine includes a complex of systemic and external agents, as well as physiotherapy methods, including the use of water procedures (hydrotherapy), which are prescribed to patients individually depending on the stage of dermatosis, concomitant somatic diseases, etc.
Patients with psoriasis are shown the use of hydrotherapy, which helps mechanically cleanse the elements of the rash from scales that form in excessive quantities on their surface.
Sodium chloride baths (or sea baths, brine) - help reduce the development of psoriatic papules and plaques. Water procedures should be carried out during remission, since during exacerbation the skin is most vulnerable. Sea or ordinary table salt is used for their preparation. Dissolve the salt in warm water (40-45 °C). It is recommended to take baths for no longer than 15 minutes. The course of treatment is from 10 to 15 procedures, 3 times a week. Immediately after the procedure, the skin should be washed with fresh water and dried with a towel. Within one hour after the procedure, you need to stay in a warm room.
In psoriasis, baths with Dead Sea salt have an antiseptic effect, improve metabolic processes at the cellular level, relieve itching and peeling. We recommend using “Salt for Tired Feet” from the Feetcalm brand. Since the salt contains a number of beneficial components for the skin, namely:
Dead Sea salt has an anti-inflammatory effect, actively participates in metabolic processes, promotes skin regeneration, strengthens the skin's connective tissue and renews it.
Chamomile has anti-inflammatory properties and contains antioxidants.
Lavender increases the elasticity of the epidermis.
Coconut oil has moisturizing, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties.
Aloe vera improves the elasticity of skin tissues.
All these natural components have a positive effect on the condition of the skin and improve metabolic processes at the cellular level, relieving itching and peeling.
PSORIASIS IS NOT A SENTENCE.
Science does not stand still, new methods of influencing the disease are constantly being researched. This is confirmed by people who have learned to control the disease.
